🔬 Science Mania

Hi, I’m Daksh Mishra, a 2nd-year Chemical Engineering student from NIT Allahabad and the founder of Science Mania - an independent initiative driven by passion, not funding.

This platform was born out of a simple idea — that science should serve society, not just textbooks.

Growing up, I often noticed how science was either glorified as untouchable theory or misused in the form of pseudoscience, superstition, and misinformation. I wanted to change that — to make science accessible, ethical, and meaningful in everyday life. 

• Starting alone, with no team or mentor, just my conviction.
• Balancing rigorous college academics with content creation, coding, research, and design.
• Facing technical limitations and learning everything from scratch — from web design to scientific outreach.
• Often questioned or misunderstood for doing something "different" from the crowd.

• The misuse of science in food adulteration, quack cures, and climate denial.
• The silence around environmental pollution, especially in rural and semi-urban India.
• My deep belief that science is not a privilege for toppers — it’s a tool for every citizen to think, question, and act responsibly.
•  The selfless sacrifices of environmental warriors like GD Agrawal (Swami Sanand), who gave his life fasting for the conservation of the Ganga — not for fame, but for future generations.
• The silent efforts of scientists, teachers, and activists who worked without recognition, reminding me that science must be rooted in service, not ego

Late Prof. GD Agrawal 
Former Professor at IIT Kanpur and Former Head of CPCB, Done graduation from IIT-Roorkee, IIT-BHU and PHD from University of Berkeley. In June 2018, he started fast-upto death against environmentally unfriendly projects on river Ganga and he died from starvation in October 2018, made implacable sacrifice for protection of river Ganga.
